Born in Ishikawa Prefecture . Studied under Zuisen I, apprentice of Itaya Hazan, studied underglaze blue and carved designs, and produced a wide range of pottery, specializing in exquisite beauty in which classic and modern styles are gorgeously enhanced. In 1980, he was certified as a traditional craftsman for Kyo ware.
