Real name Yuji. Began working in ceramics with the potter’s wheel in 1949. Participant and award-winner at the Japan External Trade Organization Exhibition, Japan New Craft Exhibition, Japan Ceramic Design Competition, other exhibitions. Presided over the Tokoname Teaware Youth Association. Certified a traditional craftsman by the Minister of International Trade and Industry.
