After retiring from the company in 1977, he decided to pursue pottery and established Taizan kiln. Studied under Tsune Mizuchi. He was selected for the Toko-kai National Exhibition and the Saitama Prefectural Exhibition. His works include blue porcelain, Tianmu , high-fired unglazed ceramics, and engobe.
