His father, Hakusui I, was recognized as an intangible cultural asset of Tobe town in 1977 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of Tobu porcelain. In 1984, he took over the name of the second generation after the death of the first generation. He created a ceramic pillar in collaboration with Miyata Masayuki, a painter, for the main entrance of the Health Sciences University Hospital. His work is mainly in the Gohon style with brush marks and comb marks.
