Born in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture. Moved to Tokyo to become a painter. Established Kyodo Kiln in 1977 and became independent in 1980. Exhibited at the Hanbi Association Member’s Exhibition and left the association in 1982. Focuses on carbonization and scorched surface coloring.
