Born in Tokyo. Graduated Nihon University College of Art. After joining the So Architect Research Center, he moved to creating ceramics. In 1976, he created his kiln in Seto city, and another in Toki city in 1984. In the following year, he created a cellar kiln. Held solo exhibitions in places such as Akasaka-kan, Azuchi in Osaka, Adesso, Nomura Art Museum (Kyoto), Ikebukuro Tobu, and Nagoya Akane.
