Went to a restored old kiln in Kaga and infused the old way of Kaga pottery with a touch of modernity. Founded his own kiln there in 1972, and founded an anagama kiln in 1982. After being part of Asia Modern Art and Toukoukai, he became a Shinkaijusha member and judge. Director and judge of the Ichiryusei International Art Society. Director of the Hokuriku Ceramics Association.
