1953-
From Kyoto City. Graduated from the Kyoto Pottery Training Institute. Trained at Raku Studio Waraku. Studied under Sakamoto Hosei from Kyoto, and set up Anaogama to make ceramics in Kameoka after that. Won the Kyoto Mayor’s Prize in the Daisan Bunmei Exhibition and was selected in the same exhibition. Focuses on tableware using the shirogesho (white slip), kohiki (white powdered-looking ceramics), and tatara (slab-building) methods.
