His real name is Sadao. Studied under Nemori Etsuo, a professor at Hokkaido University of Arts and Sciences. Later, in 1986, he built a cellar kiln in Miruoto and opened Gen-gama kiln, naming it Miruoto ware. He was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Ceramic Exhibition. Selected for the Kofu-kai Exhibition, the Japan New Craft Exhibition, and the Douten Exhibition. Member of the Hokkaido Art Association. Focuses on celadon, cinnabar, tenmoku, and high-fired unglazed ceramics.
