Studied under Watanabe Rokuro, built a kiln in Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture in 1970, and opened a joint kiln in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture in 1980. He is a member of the board of trustees of the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition. Member of Shinso-Kogei-kai . Mainly works with snowflake crystal glaze and Oribe.
