Graduated from Tokyo Kuramae High Ceramics Department. Served as an engineer at the Ceramics Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, which became a base for the development of modern Japanese ceramics, and later built a kiln in Yamashina, Kyoto. Contributed to the spread of new designs.
