Eldest son of Kyoto potter Tsuji Shinroku. Graduated from Fushimi High School. Studied under his father and the Western-style painter Tsuboi Kazuo, and in 1955 joined Sodeisha, of which he has been a member ever since. Received the Gold Prize at the Kyoto Craft Exhibition, and the Kyoto Industrial Art Association Honorable Mention. Solo exhibitions at Kyoto Takashimaya Department Store, etc. Mainly works with marbled ware, jun ware, dark green glaze with gold paint, Shino, and overglaze enameled porcelain.
