From Kyoto. Graduated from Tamagawa University. Studied under Nakazato Muan, Tarouemon, and Shigetoshi. Set up a waritake-style multi-chambered climbing kiln in Fukuoka in 1972. Learned tea bowl pottery from his father Narinobu, and later studied under Kaneshige Sozan. Selected for and received prizes at the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition and others. Has held solo exhibitions at Nihonbashi Takashimaya and Mitsukoshi. Focuses on Korean karatsu ware. Regular member of the Japan Kogei Association.
