Born in Tokoname. Graduated from Tokoname High School. Awarded the Honorable Mention at the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition. Received the Mayor’s Prize and the Governor’s Prize at Chunichi International Exhibition. Received the Honorable Mention at the Chozo Prize Exhibition and the Chozo Prize. Selected for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, the Tokai Traditional Craft Exhibition, and others. Solo exhibitions at Kyoto Irokuen and others. Works mainly with red clay, marbled ware, and Mogake (the technique of firing clay with seaweed to make the parts that touch the seaweed turn scarlet). Full member of Japan Kogei Association.
