Born in Chiba Prefecture, studied under Kawamura Seizan in 1951. After leaving Musashino Art School, he built his own kiln in Chigasaki in 1957, and moved to Kasama Art Village in 1971. Participated in the founding of the Kanagawa Ceramic Artists Association. Member of the Kanagawa Craftsmen’s Group (now the Kanagawa Craftsmen’s Association). Member of Ibaraki Kogei. Selected for the National Exhibition and others. Solo exhibitions at Yokohama Takashimaya Department Store, Mito Soma Gallery, Sendai Marumitsu Department Store, etc.
