Born in Saga Prefecture. Self-taught in archaeology and ancient pottery. He has arranged Yayoi and Sue ware forms in a modern style, and has appeared on TV and made presentations. His works have been selected for the All Japan Art Association Exhibition, the West Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, and the Kyushu-Yamaguchi Exhibition. Awarded the Art Public Opinion Prize. Participated in Chunichi Artists’ Exchange Exhibition. Solo exhibitions at Kokura, Ube, and Yawata Izutsuya stores. Representative of the Ancient Art Study Group. Focuses on natural clay glazes and kairagi (rough ceramic glaze like sharkskin).
