Born in Nagasaki City. Trained at the Uji-sumiyama Craft Village, and in 1975 established the Taketa-ware Ronin Kiln in Uetsuno. Awarded prizes at the Western Craft Exhibition, the Oita Prefecture Design Exhibition, and the Kyushu-Yamaguchi Exhibition. Participated in the Flame Association. Solo exhibitions at Shinjuku Odakyu, Hachioji Daimaru Department Store, Kumamoto Daihodo, Kyoto Tachiyoshi, etc. Focuses on powder glaze and inlays on black ceramic.
