Born in Komatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture. Studied under his grandfather Kinsei. Mastered the family tradition of Kutani overglaze enamels with fine brush work, and succeeded to the third generation. He has received the highest award at the Prefectural Design Exhibition, the Excellence Award and the Honorable Mention at the Traditional Kutani Craft Exhibition. Member of the Issui-kai Ceramic Art Society. Full member of Japan Kogei Association.
