Born in Asakusa, Tokyo. Graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at Tamagawa University, and began training at Kato Juemon Kiln in 1961. 1965 Established his own kiln at Yashichida Kiln Site in Oogaya, Mino. Later studied at Tsuji Shinroku Pottery studio in Kyoto. Moved to the U.S. in 1971 to work in Malborough, Vermont, where he built an anagama kiln in 1973 and a climbing kiln in 1975. No affiliation. Solo exhibitions at Nihonbashi Tsubonakai, Osaka Takashimaya Department Store, Nagoya Meitetsu Department Store, etc. Mainly works with Oribe ware.
