His real name is Wakita Katsuji and he was adopted by Takiguchi Kazen. Graduated from Ishikawa Prefectural Technical School. Worked at the Prefectural Industrial Research Institute and later became independent and established the Kutani Seisen Kiln. He is an experienced artist who has been awarded prizes since the Bunten exhibition before the Showa era. He mainly produces decorative ware with effective matte glaze.
