Born in Aichi Prefecture. Graduated from the Nagoya Institute of Technology. Established Shinyu Kiln in 1980 in Fushimi, Kyoto. Awarded the Craft Prize at the Japan Modern Industrial Art Exhibition, the Yomiuri Newspaper Prize, and was a member of the jury. Member of Nitten. Judge of the Aioi and Kameoka City Exhibitions. Assistant professor at Hyogo Women’s Junior College. Works mainly in the fields of ceramics, silver painting, iron painting, and overglaze red enamel decoration.
