Born in Hasami, Nagasaki. Studied under Kato Shuntei from 1977 to the present. His works have been selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition, the Tokai Traditional Craft Exhibition, the Aichi Prefecture Exhibition, and others. He has exhibited his works at Ginza Matsuzakaya Department Store, Nagoya Meitetsu Department Store, and Gifu Takashimaya Department Store. Mainly works with ofukai glaze and line designs. Full member of Japan Kogei Association. Member of Tokai Branch, Seto Ceramic Association, and Seto Kogei.
