Born in Akikawa, Tokyo. While running the family business, a textile company, he aspired to become a potter. Studied under Tsuji Kyosaku. He has been awarded prizes at the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition, the New Work Exhibition, and the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition. A regular member of Japan Kogei Association. Focuses on inlay, carbonizing, and scorched surface coloring.
