Born in Osaka. Graduated from Osaka Kogei High School and the Department of Fine Arts at Osaka Kyoiku University. Trained at Kiyomizu Pottery’s Tomita Rakuzan Pottery in 1970. Opened a kiln in Shimokaiinji, Kyoto in 1974. Mainly solo exhibitions. Lecturer at Kobe University. Works mainly in ceramic carving, mad decoration, and sgraffito.
