Born in Kyoto, he was a member of Sodeisha from 1965 to 1983. He was awarded a prize at the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition. Solo exhibitions at Kyoto G16, Asahi Gallery, Wacoal Ginza and others. Mainly works with white porcelain, turquoise, and colored sgraffito.
