In 1961, he began to make Raku ware as a hobby. He learned by imitating the old works of Raku Chojiro, Donyu, and Ichinyu. In 1967, he became acquainted with Kuroda Tojian, who was a permanent director of the Japan Ceramic Society. Held solo exhibitions at Yonago Daimaru Department Store and Ginza Kuroda Toen. Works mainly in black and matte black with vermilion glaze using stones from Kimachi, Tottori Prefecture.
