Born in Fukuoka Prefecture. Graduated from Fukuoka High School and moved to Tokyo in 1965, opened a kiln in his hometown Hiramatsu, moved to Akizuki-cho, Amagi City in 1970, and established Akizuki-yaki Tachibana Kiln. He has been a member of the Kofu-kai Exhibition, where he received the C Prize, the Supreme Prize, and the Kaiyu Prize. Awarded the Special Prize at the Kyushu Contemporary Craft Exhibition, the Governor of Saga Prefecture Award, and the Member of Excellence Award. Member of the Kyushu New Craft Federation. Selected for the Nitten exhibition, the Nippon-Genko exhibition, and the Nisshin-Kogyo exhibition.
