Born in Nara Prefecture. Studied under Uno Sango in Kyoto. In 1947, he formed the Shiko-kai. He won a prize at the Nara Prefectural Exhibition. Exhibited at the Non-Type Exhibition at Mitsukoshi in Osaka, the 25th Anniversary Exhibition of the Prefectural Exhibition, and the Nishinomiya Tent Exhibition. Solo exhibitions at Osaka Prefectural Center for Contemporary Art, Kyoto Manjudo and others. Mainly black pottery.
