Learned from his father, who inherited the tradition of Higo Shoudai ware, and devoted himself to Shoudai ware from around 1970. His works have been selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition and others. He has been awarded prizes at the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition and others.
