Born in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture. Graduated from the Ceramics Department of Tajimi Technical High School. While working in the pottery industry, he visited old Mino kilns and worked on Oribe. Became an independent potter in 1974. No affiliation, mainly solo exhibitions. Solo exhibitions at Daikokuya in Fukushima, Yamada Department Store, Aoyama Gallery America in Tokyo, Kani City, etc.
