Shizuku Joko 雫浄光

1925-?

Born in Okayama Prefecture. Joined Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding in 1939, and later became a potter. Consecutively selected for the Okayama Prefecture Exhibition and the Japan Traditional Crafts China Exhibition. Solo exhibitions at Okayama Tenmaya, Takashimaya, Hiroshima Tenmaya, Fukuya, Tottori Daimaru, and Ginza Matsuzakaya. His works are mainly Tenmoku with oil drops and ancient white glaze based on his research of the characteristics of Chinese anthracite coal used as fuel for Tenmoku firing. Member of Japan Kogei Association. Member of the Jodo sect Artists Association.
