Born in Bihoro-cho. Trained at Kobushi-ware in Hokkaido and Taruoka-ware in Akita Prefecture from 1972. Returned to his hometown in 1976, established Bihoro kiln, and became independent. Won prizes at the New Traditional Craft Exhibition, the Musashino Exhibition, and the All Hokkaido Art Exhibition. Group exhibitions at Sapporo Mitsukoshi and Tokyu. Mainly works with blue glaze with white glaze and inlay.
