Born in a Hagi pottery family, succeeded his father, Kanzan, and is the 14th generation of the Sukeuemon Kiln. Graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, where he majored in sculpture. Returned to his hometown after completing an internship at the Kyoto Industrial Research Institute. Received the Governor’s Prize and the Grand Prize at the Yamaguchi Prefectural Exhibition. Awarded the Honorable Mention at the West Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition and the Minister of International Trade and Industry Award. Selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition and others. Regular member of Japan Kogei Association.
