Born in Kyoto. Graduated from Ryukoku University. Studied under his father, Shimizu Uichi, living national treasure. Awarded the Director’s Prize at the Kinki Branch Exhibition of Japan Kogei Association, the Nikkei Honorable Mention, and the Matsushita Prize. Selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition. Regular member of the Japan Industrial Arts Society. Solo exhibitions at Mitsukosh department store in Osaka and elsewhere. Mainly creates turtle patterns.
