Born in Yokohama City. In 1966, he decided to become a potter and studied under Akiyama Kazuo in Mashiko. Studied under Mori Togaku of Bizen ware from next year. In 1975, he established his own kiln in Doji and joined the Aioi Kiln under the direction of Mori Togaku. Solo exhibitions at Yokohama Togei Gallery, Minami Aoyama Green Gallery, and Okayama Tenmaya store. Focused on cord decoration.
