Born in Iwatsuki, Saitama Prefecture. Went around the world as an aspiring painter, and was later attracted to Arita ceramics. Studied under Okugawa Chuuemon. Established the studio Rahaimu in 1979. Awarded the Japan Genko Memorial Prize. Grand Prize at the West Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition. Selected for Nitten and others. Focuses on blue and white, inlay, and carving.
