Born in Tokyo. Graduated from the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Chuo University in 1971, and studied under Ikuta Kazutaka in Tamba. Built a kiln in Washio, Hyogo Prefecture in 1975. He received the Honorable Mention at the Japan Folk Art Museum Exhibition. He was awarded the Newcomer’s Prize at the National Exhibition of Japan, and the Excellent Work Prize at the Kaiyu Exhibition. Selected for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition and others. Solo exhibitions at Okura Gallery, Ginza, Kobe Diamond G, Minami Aoyama Green G, and Osaka Hankyu. Focuses on white painting, high-fired unglazed ceramics and slipware.
