Also known as Shibaoka Kozan the 3rd. Eldest son of Shibaoka Kozan of Tosendo. Graduated from the Ceramics Department of Bizen High School. Later, he studied at the Kyoto Craft Training Institute. Returned to his hometown in 1966 and studied under his father. He was selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Branch Exhibition and other exhibitions. Group exhibitions at Osaka Gendai Gallery, Miyako Gallery, Hiroshima Fukuya, Okayama Takashimaya, and others, solo exhibitions at Nihonbashi Tokyu and Ikebukuro Seibu, and parent-child exhibitions.
