Born in Kyoto. Admired Ishiguro Munemaro and started to make pottery. Built a kiln in Yamashina in 1970. Studied ink painting at the school of Komatsu Hitoshi, a member of the Japan Art Academy. Selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition. Solo exhibitions at Kyoto Shibunkaku, Osaka Yamamoto Gallery, Ikebukuro Seibu and Kobe Sogo. Focuses on Oribe ware, Kizeto ware, Iga ware, and silver paintings.
