Born in Ibaraki Prefecture. Studied at a design school and later trained in Kasama and Mashiko. In 1982, moved to Iga, Mie Prefecture, and became independent, naming her kiln Tumie-gama. No affiliation. Held two-person exhibitions at Takatsuki Kokeian, Osaka Gallery Azuchi, Senri Hankyu, and Tsu City Mie Gallery. First solo exhibition in his hometown Ibaraki. Her works are mainly tableware made by sgraffito and yakishime. Opened an exhibition room in Kyoto.
