Studied Raku ware and searched for old kilns. In 1966, he studied under Satonaka Hideto. Also studied cloisonne enamel ware. Studied metal engraving from around 1969. Won a prize at the Issuikai Exhibition. Solo exhibitions at Shibuya Seibu and others. Worked on slipware, kneading, uzura-de (mottled like a quail), inlay, sgraffito, celadon and cinnabar.
