Born in Nogata City. Studied under Ide Kinpo in Arita. After working at Karatsu-Ochanomizu Kiln and Maruta Kiln of Ichinose ware, became independent in 1977. Moved to Tanushimaru-cho, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1980. His work has been selected for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition, and others. Solo exhibitions at Shinjuku Mitsukoshi, Fukuoka Nick and others. Focuses on carbonization and kiln deformation.
