Born in Tokushima Prefecture. Became interested in ceramics in 1971. Opened a pottery studio in his hometown in 1977. Selected for the New Master Crafts Exhibition, Japan Kogei Association Kinki Branch Exhibition, the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, the Chunichi International Ceramic Art Exhibition, and the Japan New Craft Exhibition. Awarded Excellence Prize at the Prefectural Art Festival. Awarded an Honorable Mention at the Shikoku Exhibition of the Japan Art Association. Solo exhibitions at Tokushima Sogo Art Gallery and others. Mainly works with ash glaze and powder glaze.
