Born in Fujisawa City. Graduated from the Department of Crafts, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and the Graduate School of the same university. Awarded the Salon de Printemps. Built a kiln in 1972. Unaffiliated. Solo exhibitions at Central Art Museum, Ginza, Aoyama Seikado, Shibuya To Matsuoka, Ikebukuro Seibu, Asahikawa Baihodo, etc. His works are sharply formed with Cord-marked pottery, inlaid line design, high-fired unglazed ceramics, overglaze painting, and gold and silver painting.
