male
kosobe pottery

Born as the fifth son of Samukawa Seiho of the Kishu-ware Aoi kiln, he studied under his father while still in school.
Later, he opened a kiln in Takatsuki in 1979 with the aim of reviving Kosobe-ware in Takatsuki, Osaka. Since then, he has exhibited his works mainly focusing on solo exhibitions.
He finds his own Kosobe style by giving a more modern feel to Kosobe-ware, which was originally fired in a wide variety of ways such as Mishimade, Karatsu, Goryeo-style, and Kyo-ware-style.
