Born in Kyoto, Japan. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Doshisha University. Awarded the Kyoto Prefectural Board of Education Prize at the Kinki Branch Exhibition of Japan Kogei Association in 1971. He was selected for many awards at the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition and the Kyoto Exhibition. Solo exhibitions at Mitsukoshi in Osaka, Iwataya in Fukuoka, Seibu in Ikebukuro, etc. Works mainly with tenmoku glaze, celadon, and ash glaze. Made a friendship visit to Suzhou, China as a member of the Kameoka City Board of Education. Full member of Japan Kogei Association.
