mumyoi pottery
Born in Niigata Prefecture. Studied Mumyoi ware under Ito Sekisui in Aikawa-cho. Later opened his own kiln in this area. Selected for the Nitten, Japan Contemporary Craft Exhibition, and others. Awarded at Nitten, Japan Contemporary Craft Exhibition, and others, including the Prefectural Exhibition Prize and the Prefectural Exhibition Honorable Mention. Solo exhibitions at Kobayashi, Yamato, Aikawa Sado Kaikan, Hamo Community Center and others in Niigata. Member of the Japan Contemporary Craft Art Association.
