Born in Inbe. Graduated from the Seto Agricultural School under the old system. After working for a local brick company, he established Keisui Kiln with his uncle, Hozan, in 1971, and became independent the following year. Held solo exhibitions at Osaka Hanshin, Ginza Matsuya, and other venues. Won the Genga Prize at the Genga Exhibition. His works have been selected for the Traditional Craft Branch Exhibition and others. Member of the board of directors of the Bingei Association.
