Born in Ibaraki prefecture. Moved to Kasama in 1967 where he opened a kiln in 1972. Built a noborigama (climbing kiln) in 1983. Selected for the Japanese Traditional Crafts Exhibition, others. Held solo exhibitions at Tsuchiurabashi, Mito Shimizu, Chiba Rokuro, Kasama Shizu. Produced ceramics at Shinshu University, others. Primarily focused on salt glaze and iron painting.
