He is a potter of the Uchide ware style who thrived in Ashiya City in Hyogo Prefecture from the Bakumatsu to the Meiji era.
Among his existing works, there are many high-quality tea sets of the Kyo ware style. He was especially adept at copies of Ninsei’s works.
